Stepping into a pair of heeled shoes shouldn’t come with the possibility of blisters or bunions. To help you find the most comfortable heels, we spoke with podiatrists for tips on finding shoes with supportive features, like ankle stability and arch support. Our favorite heels are Sam Edelman Bianka Slingback pumps, because they’re podiatrist-recommended and comfortable to wear all day. But we also found budget-friendly Amazon picks and popular heel trends like Mary Janes, slingbacks, and platforms. Though no heel can truly rival your trusty walking shoes, these Glamour editor–approved options can keep your focus on what you’re doing and away from your achy soles.

How we evaluated
How we tested heels for comfort
Glamour editors and reviewers evaluated how supportive these podiatrist-approved heels felt after wearing them for at least a full day, noting how comfortable they were to walk in and if they hugged our feet without compressing. After walking and dancing in the heels, we checked to see if our feet were left with any blisters or shoe bites. We’re happy to report that all of these passed the test.
