What to Watch the Week of January 19: Timothée Chalamet Takes Over SNL and 9 More Shows to Watch

Timothée Chalamet will pull double duty as host and musical guest on this Saturday’s SNL. Will Kylie Jenner be there to support him? The cast of A Complete Unknown? His look-alike? It’s the actor’s third time hosting, so one thing we know is that it will be a star-filled evening, especially given that this is the first show after the presidential inauguration.

As far as new premieres this week, there are a few to keep an eye on, starting with The Hunting Party on NBC and Peacock. Manifest fan favorite Melissa Roxburgh stars in this crime procedural series about investigators who are hired to track down the most dangerous killers in the country. On Tuesday, Leo Woodall—whom you loved in Netflix’s One Day—stars in the new Apple TV+ thriller, Prime Target. (For all you rom-com fans, don’t worry…more light-hearted fare is on its way next week.)

If you’re fascinated by wild animals, then PBS has you covered with their new series Big Cats, Small World. Featuring lions, leopards, and cheetahs, the fascinating docuseries was filmed on the shores of Botswana’s Gomoti River.

For everything else this week, see below, and I wish you a reflective Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday. I’ll see you back here next Sunday to preview the latest season of The Bachelor, a Chicago Med/PD/Fire crossover event, and Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell’s new rom-com.
